17sKerri Graham has been teaching 10th grade biology and honors biology at Rock Bridge High School since 2002. She is married to David Graham, who is also a teacher at Rock Bridge High School.  The Grahams have twin boys (Davis and Ellis) who are 17 months old.  Mrs. Graham graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts and Biology Secondary Education.  She has completed her course work and will graduate this May from William Woods University with a Masters of Education Degree in Secondary Administration

For her first five years at RBHS, she choreographed and co-directed the fall all-school musical and the spring class musical.  She was also assistant director for the show choirs for two years.  Her current leadership responsibilities include: member of the teacher-elected Executive Council, member of the Assessment for Learning Team and leader of the Biology Professional Learning Team.

Why Mrs. Graham is special:

3s1Kerri Graham is the consummate professional!  Her dedication to her students and her colleagues to make them better is unparalleled.

—Tim Wright, Assistant Principal

So deserved for Kerri!  I don’t know how she does it all (babies, teaching, Assessment for Learning Team, Executive Council AND running at 5 a.m. every morning.)  She never looks frazzled; just thinking about her schedule makes me tired!

—Gwen Struchtemeyer, Media Specialist

Kerri is a dedicated teacher who pushes her students to achieve at high levels.  She is an esteemed member of the science department as well as the Biology Professional Learning Team leader.  She is caring and nurturing to her colleagues and her students.  They all love her!  In short, she is AMAZING!

—Lisa Nieuwenhuizen, Assistant Principal

From the moment she came to Rock Bridge, Kerri has been a leader.  For the past two years, she has not only been a member of our school’s Executive Council but she has spearheaded our school’s attempt to apply the principles of AFL (Assessment for Learning) in our classrooms.  Kerri is a superb model of how to have the highest expectations for students while creating a classroom environment that is warm and student-centered.  The fact that she does all of this while raising twins and pursuing a masters degree is remarkable.

—Matt Cone, Social Studies teacher

Mrs. Graham received flowers and a $100 savings bond from UMB, a $100 gift certificate from Ann’s Teachers Store, flowers from Kent’s Floral Gallery and a $50 gift certificate to Bleu restaurant.
